1. Product Description & Main Ingredients

Rx Dental Gloss Flow is a flowable, light curing, radiopaque composite resin material.

Main Ingredients:
Methacrylate monomers & Oligomers, Inorganic Filler, Photo initiator.


2. Indications

2.1 Class III and smaller class IV restorations
2.2 Ideal for class V restorations
2.3 Restoration of minimally invasive cavity preparations
2.4 Base/Liner in Class I and Class II restorations
2.5 Undercut block-out


3. Contraindications

3.1 The application of Gloss Flow is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to methacrylate resins.
3.2 Do not apply directly on open pulp.
3.3 Do not apply on soft tissue.


4. Precautions (Please read carefully before use)

4.1 This product contains substances that may cause an allergic reaction by skin contact in certain individuals. To reduce the risk of allergic response, minimize exposure to these materials. In particular, avoid exposure to uncured product.

4.2 If skin contact occurs, wash skin with soap and water. Use of protective gloves and a no-touch technique is recommended.

4.3 Acrylates may penetrate commonly used gloves. If product contacts glove, remove and discard gloves, wash hands immediately with soap and water and then re-glove.

4.4 If allergic reaction occurs, seek medical attention as needed.

4.5 Avoid material containing eugenol, moisture and oily air; they can inhibit the polymerization at the contact area.

4.6 Important Notes
 4.6.1 In singular cases hypersensitivity to components of the material cannot be excluded.
 4.6.2 The use of cationic mouthwashes, plaque indicators and chlorhexidine may lead to discolorations.
 4.6.3 Light devices should emit wavelength of about 450 nm and intensity should be regularly inspected. The light should be placed as close as possible to the filling material.

4.7 Sensitivity
Some patients may experience transitory postoperative sensitivity. The risk of sensitivity can be minimized by doing small sensitivity test on hand.


5. Application Method

5.1 Shade Selection
5.1.1 Clean & dry preparation. Choose shade.

5.2 Cavity Preparation
5.2.1 Remove all amalgam or other base materials that may interfere with operations.
Prepare the cavity according to the general rules of adhesive dentistry. Bevel enamel margins.

5.3 Pulp Protection
5.3.1 Protect pulp and deep cavities according to the general rules of preparative dentistry.

5.4 Enamel & Dentin Treatment
5.4.1 Etch enamel margins with Rx Dental Etching gel for 20 to 35 seconds. Rinse off etching gel completely. Dry with oil free air. Apply the adhesive (Bonding) according to manufacturer’s instruction.

5.5 Dispensing Method
5.5.1 Select the syringe containing the desired shade of Gloss Flow. Remove syringe cap and insert an angled luer lock syringe tip. Lock tip into place. Gently press the syringe plunger to dispense Gloss Flow.

5.6 Placement
5.6.1 To ensure a complete cure DO NOT place Gloss Flow in layers exceeding 2mm.

5.7 Light Cure
5.7.1 Light-cure each layer for 20 seconds. Hold the light emission tip of the device as close as possible to the surface of the filling. Incomplete curing may lead to discoloration & discomfort. Please check your light in order to ensure proper light intensity. It is advisable to regularly check the efficacy of the light.

5.8 Finishing
5.8.1 Remove excess material, shape and finish with diamond burs and flexible disks of increasing grits.


6. Packaging & Variants

7. Storage & Handling

Store in cool dark place. Keep away from direct light and heat. Do not expose restorative materials to elevated temperatures or intense light.
